  • A competitive compensation package includes a salary starting at $42,000 to $45,000, a bonus of up to 30% base salary, profit sharing, monthly housing and food costs, and so much more

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Live, work, and positively contribute to your northern community in Canada
  • Lead the meat department by managing all aspects of butchery operations, including cutting, trimming, deboning, and packaging meat products
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Develop and execute in-store selling activities and marketing programs specific to the meat department
  • Create a weekly schedule to meet the business needs, with flexibility to respond to the unique challenges of a remote and isolated location
  • Order products and manage inventory levels to ensure stock is adequately maintained and available for customers
  • Motivate and provide staff training and tools to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Actively support career progression for your team members
  • Problem-solve unique issues with the resources at hand and seek advice from fellow team members when necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification or training in culinary arts, with a focus on butchery
  • Experience working in northern or remote communities
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
