Job Summary: Process unit holder transactions, respond to account inquiries, and provide administrative support for a dynamic team in a transfer agent role.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing all unit holder transactions for both registered and non-registered products. This includes verifying that all proper paperwork is received and complete, ensuring that compliance and procedures are accurate, and documenting and updating procedure manuals and workbooks where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all Mutual Fund Transactions for individual, accredited and institutional investors
- Verify that all proper paperwork is received and complete; also ensure that appropriate follow-up takes place for any outstanding issues
- Ensure that all compliance and procedures are accurate
- Document and update procedure manuals and workbooks where required
- Represent the team in various working groups
- Act as a strong resource and support for Staff Members
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary Education
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Advanced Excel
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint and the Internet
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience processing financial transactions, performing quality assurance checks and being able to interpret complex instructions
- Experience processing corporate, institutional and trust accounts, RRSP, RESP, RRIF and TFSA products within a back office environment
- IFIC or CSC
- Experience in dealing with external dealers, custodians, fund companies and various government bodies
- Experience with Unitrax, Fundserv or Dataphile
