Directeur – Affaires gouvernementales, Ottawa (Ontario)

Visée du poste

Relevant du Directeur général – Affaires corporatives du Canada, le Directeur – Affaires gouvernementales assurera la direction des relations stratégiques avec le gouvernement et les intervenants externes en ce qui a trait aux produits du tabac et aux produits contenant de la nicotine au Canada.

Responsabilités

  • Créer et mettre en œuvre des plans stratégiques qui anticipent l'évolution du contexte réglementaire (fédéral et provincial).
  • Approfondir les relations de l'entreprise avec les principaux représentants gouvernementaux et leur personnel. Cerner les occasions favorisant la présentation par les législateurs des positions prônées par l'entreprise.
  • Présenter les points de vue et les positions de l'entreprise par le biais de débats internes et externes. Participer aux réunions de l'industrie et des organismes de réglementation. Produire des rapports et des présentations internes.
  • Aider le Directeur général – Affaires corporatives et communications à élaborer les points de vue et les positions de l'entreprise concernant les questions d'intérêt public qui ont une incidence importante sur le contexte opérationnel de l'entreprise.
  • Coordonner et gérer les tâches effectuées par les consultants externes en collaboration avec le Directeur – Affaires réglementaires.
  • Gérer plusieurs tâches et projets au fur et à mesure qu'ils se présentent, à la demande du supérieur hiérarchique.

Qualifications, expérience et compétences

  • Études postsecondaires dans un domaine connexe (sciences politiques, droit, économie, relations publiques, etc.).
  • Au moins cinq ans d'expérience dans le secteur des affaires corporatives, publiques ou réglementaires, ou au sein d'une institution politique.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale, écrite et interpersonnelle.
  • Excellentes compétences en présentation et en animation de groupe.
  • Bilinguisme français-anglais, un atout important.
  • Sens de l'initiative, pensée critique, et compétences éprouvées en persuasion et en résolution de problèmes.
  • Capacité à établir efficacement des relations et à collaborer avec des intervenants internes et externes.
  • Capacité à établir les priorités et à les modifier en fonction des besoins opérationnels.
  • Connaissance de la suite MS Office.
