Care Team Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a Care Team Assistant to provide direct care to patients in a collaborative care team environment, supporting activities of daily living and reinforcing patient teaching.

The Care Team Assistant will work under the supervision of regulated health professionals, providing direct care to patients and supporting their activities of daily living. The successful candidate will have a Continuing Care Assistant Program certification and be registered with the CCA Registry.
About the Role: • Provide direct care to patients in a collaborative care team environment • Support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living • Reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care • Work under the supervision of regulated health professionals About You: • Continuing Care Assistant Program certification • Registered with the CCA Registry • Current Basic Life Support Certification • Effective listening and communication skills • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Hours and Compensation: • Permanent Part-time; 52.5 Hours Bi-weekly • $25.70 hourly • Eligible for benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan About Nova Scotia Health: • We are a diverse team of professionals providing high-quality health services across the province • We value diversity and are committed to being a workforce that is free of discrimination • We are a leader in healthcare in Atlantic Canada-
