The Stores and Distribution Attendant plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse. This individual will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing internal requisitions from multiple sites and departments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and operating a variety of vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, resolving most problems on their own, and referring complex issues to a supervisor as needed.

  • Organize and prioritize internal requisitions from multiple sites and departments, maintaining accurate records and data entry into computerized systems.
  • Maintain the cart top-up system, checking supply levels, entering requisition data, and replenishing carts or trolleys as needed.
  • Receive, unpack, and check incoming goods and materials, ensuring they meet specifications and complete related paperwork.
  • Maintain stores inventory supply records, labeling, and adding or deleting data and inventory items as directed.
  • Marshal supplies and equipment, assembling loads, loading carts, bins, and trolleys, and transporting goods to designated areas.
  • Identify and return damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers, completing appropriate documentation.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment, delivering, picking up, shipping, and transporting supplies and equipment, completing required documentation.
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance functions on vehicles and equipment, recommending repair or replacement as necessary.
  • Participate in inventory activities and perform other related duties as required.

**Requirements:**

  • Grade 12, one year of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license.

**Skills and Knowledge:**

  • Effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal effectively with others.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples and familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism and Indigenous Cultural Safety.
