As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Receptionist/Medical Assistant who has the passion to deliver the best possible care to our patients.

Summary: The Receptionist/Medical Assistant will assist physicians and allied health partners to ensure efficient patient flow and care process. This is a permanent full-time (4-5 days a week) position, including weekends.

Location: 34 Main Street West Ground Floor, Beeton, ON L0G 1A0

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing administrative support to the entire clinic, including but not limited to: registering patients, answering phone, booking appointments, following up on consults and test results, and other administrative duties.
  • Provides administrative assistance to doctors and allied health providers.
  • Assists patients with registration forms and any other required paperwork.
  • Responsible for referrals to specialists, diagnostic bookings, and other test centres.
  • Reviews and updates patients' demographics and obtains necessary information as required.
  • Processes payments from patients for non-OHIP services.
  • Assists with third-party forms and letters.

Requirements:

  • Medical Office Administration certificate/diploma is considered an asset.
  • Previous 1-3 years of medical office experience is considered an asset.
  • Administrative or customer service experience, including in a non-medical field, is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of EMR and strong computer proficiency is an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of medical terminology is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills and strong organizational skills.
