We are seeking an Enterprise Architect to join the IT Planning and Architecture team.

The IT Planning and Architecture team is responsible for providing strategic direction, capability, and technology roadmaps. Investment strategies and governance, service models, decision framework, corporate and enterprise target architectures covering all IT and Digital discipline such as infrastructure, AWS Cloud platform, multi-cloud strategies, SAP RISE, downstream operations applications, retails applications, asset management applications, ETRM applications, software development, and more.


Enterprise Architecture

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining the capability, architecture strategy and roadmap in alignment with Parkland’s strategic plan and objectives. The EA is responsible to lead and facilitate agreement and critical decision making across multiple stakeholders, enable business or technology capability streamlining and harmonization, lead target solution selection and roadmap, minimize technology debt and application proliferations to support each capability, and provide superb artifacts and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • and lead cross-functional stakeholders and facilitate global capability ownership to develop strategies.
  • Capability Models for business and technology enablers with their respective multi-year roadmap.
  • analysis and assessment of future-state capabilities and architecture design.
  • strategic application and technology assessment including gap analysis, SWOT analysis, conceptual and logical design, identification of critical applications and technologies, support RFI/ RFP process.
  • analysis of capability level and its requirements, connecting strategy to execution and enabling digital transformation.
  • alignment between business and IT and Digital stakeholders. Advocate for global solutions.
  • important technology trends, assess impact and disruption within Parkland.
  • superb artifacts and deliverables to efficiently provide visual and written storytelling and enable solution adoption and understanding.
  • Governance and technology standards and enable proper adoption of new technologies, facilitate common application and technology toolkit between IT and Digital.
  • for well architecture best practices and facilitate architecture design, facilitate architecture review board, and peer reviews.
  • and support solution architects and technology architects.
  • and maintain architecture information within LeanIX including capability models and application TIME categorization, provide assessments and Adhoc reports.
  • portfolio management, vendor management, end user computing, and other departments to ensure consistent processes and alignment.
  • evolution of EA services, operating model, SLAs, and process continuous improvement. Strive to create architecture as a service and objectives.
  • external consulting services, technology workshops, presentations, and other communication initiatives.
  • the value of enterprise architecture, architecture principles, and its portfolio of services, maintain architecture templates, architecture library, new application requests, and project Intake reviews.
  • organization’s effective and promote continuous improvement by contributing to solution delivery and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies. Actively collaborate and support PMO, project managers, technology leaders, business stakeholders, SCM and operations.
  • with Security and Infrastructure to maintain a robust program and project review and implementation.

Minimum Requirements

  • or bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or similar.
  • 5 years’ experience as an enterprise architect, managing architecture requirements and driving architecture design.
  • 10 years’ experience working as application, technology or digital architect, application architect or similar.
  • experience developing strategic and technology roadmaps and providing C-level assessments and recommendations.
  • experience developing business and technology capability models, functional decompositions, and value stream.
  • experience understanding business needs and requirements quickly and efficiently, balancing architecture design and financial requirements.
  • understanding of AWS or Azure cloud platform, digital platforms, software development, security, authentication, IT/OT, ITSM, access management, IAM.
  • written and oral skills, including development of presentations and architecture standards, architecture design documents, diagrams, and graphic representations.
  • learner with demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a high volume, fast paced and evolving work environment.
  • to have SAP S4 HANA experience.
  • of architecture principles including scalability, availability, performance, security, IAM and more.
  • to advocate for innovation and digital transformation technologies such as AI, ML, IoT and more.
  • using Lucid, Miro, Visio, and other design software.
  • business acumen is an asset.
  • or enterprise architecture application knowledge is an asset.
  • or COBIT certification is an asset.
  • SAFe or Agile certifications are an asset.
