What is a Pedagogista?

As a Pedagogista at Bambini, you will be the heart of our educational program. You’ll mentor, support, and inspire a team of educators to align their practices with the Bambini approach to early learning. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our program stays true to our Reggio-inspired philosophy, promoting quality learning experiences and maintaining an environment that sparks children’s curiosity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of around 25 educators, fostering their growth and passion for Reggio-inspired practices.
  • Conduct observations and ensure the environment reflects wonder and creativity.
  • Plan and lead monthly meetings for educators, focusing on professional development and collaborative growth.
  • Oversee high-quality provocations, programming, and documentation of children's learning experiences.
  • Support the team in sourcing materials, such as art supplies and natural resources, to enrich the learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other pedagogistas and our Lead Pedagogista to plan quarterly professional development days.

Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Child Care Certification and a Degree/Diploma in Early Learning and Child Care.
  • A strong understanding and passion for Reggio-inspired child care.
  • At least 2 years of management experience (preferably in child care).
  • First Aid Certification and a Clear Police Security Clearance.
  • Training in Flight is an asset, but not required — we offer full training
