Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Data (Lead) specializing in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) to join our team in Houston, TX. This long-term contract position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in data management, equipment maintenance, and materials management.
Roles & Responsibilities
Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM) Data Management:- Prepare and manage the Master Equipment List (MEL) and asset register, including physical asset verification, markup, and as-built documentation of P&IDs.
- Develop functional locations (FLOC) and Bills of Materials (BOM) for equipment.
- Review and recommend new spare parts based on vendor documents and Spare Parts Interchangeability Records (SPIR).
- Develop and manage Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans, maintenance items, task lists, and task list groups, incorporating FMEA outputs.
- Manage PM spares against task list operations and prepare work packs against work orders.
- Create materials in SAP MM using transaction codes, ensuring data cleansing, standardization, enrichment, and deduplication.
- Code and catalog materials according to MESC and UNSPSC standards.
- Classify materials based on the noun and modifier (class) concept with appropriate attributes (characteristics).
- Develop and standardize class and characteristic master templates.
- Classify materials as OEM, general, and consumable spares.
- Review SPIR/SPDF with all related documents to establish operational spares for new projects.
- Conduct MRO spares criticality analysis and optimization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in SAP PM and MM data management.
- Proven expertise in preparing and managing Master Equipment Lists and functional locations.
- Strong knowledge of BOM development, PM plans, and maintenance item management.
- Experience in material coding, cataloging, and classification standards (MESC, UNSPSC).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the oil and gas industry or related sectors.
- Familiarity with FMEA processes and outputs.
- Previous involvement in large-scale asset verification and data standardization projects.
