The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established environmental clients team. They are looking for a team of engineers from Junior 1+ years to Senior to work in and lead and grow the noise and vibration service line.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage acoustics projects of varying scale from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to oversee acoustic scope and deliverables on multi-discipline projects.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and contribute to client relationship management.
  • Perform and supervise field noise and vibration measurements.
  • Analyze and post-process measurement data using software modules and other tools.
  • Model sound propagation using specialized acoustical software.
  • Prepare and review technical reports detailing noise emissions methodology, recommendations, mitigation strategies, and results.
  • Manage financial aspects of multiple projects, including invoicing, revenue tracking, and assessing scope changes with cost implications.
  • Assist in standardizing data collection and analysis methods to improve efficiencies.
  • Liaise with clients and actively participate in business development activities.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and coaching to junior staff.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is an asset.
  • 1-7+ years of experience in acoustical engineering (preferably in a consulting environment).
  • Strong knowledge of acoustics, wave propagation, and vibration.
  • Experience with acoustic and vibration measurement instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in noise prediction software (e.g., CadnaA) and supporting software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to act as a technical liaison between project teams, clients, and regulators.
  • Creative, organized, and able to multi-task while working independently.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of provincial legislation and regulations related to noise emissions.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
