We are seeking to expand our Skills Intelligence team with the addition of a Researcher who will be central to advancing our research initiatives, utilizing our cutting-edge Skills Intelligence services to generate impactful insights that drive strategic decision-making and client success.


This position involves conducting thorough research across various domains, including labour market trends, workforce dynamics, and emerging skills needs. By integrating our Skills Intelligence platform, the researcher contributes to the development of data-driven insights that support innovative solutions and informed strategies.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Conduct in-depth research using our Skills Intelligence services to explore trends in labour markets, workforce dynamics, and emerging skills needs across various sectors.
  • Develop and refine methodologies for analyzing data, leveraging insights from our Skills Intelligence platform to produce accurate and actionable research findings.
  • Monitor and analyze industry developments, educational trends, and policy changes, integrating data from our Skills Intelligence services to forecast future workforce needs and skills gaps.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including consultants, data scientists, and business leaders, to ensure research aligns with our strategic objectives and client goals, supported by our Skills Intelligence platform.
  • Produce comprehensive research reports and presentations that incorporate findings from our Skills Intelligence services, offering clear insights on trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic recommendations and policy proposals, informed by rigorous research and analysis backed by our Skills Intelligence services.
  • Support ongoing projects by providing data-driven insights on market conditions, workforce trends, and potential risks, utilizing our advanced Skills Intelligence tools.
  • Participate in cross-functional research teams to integrate insights from our Skills Intelligence platform into broader research and development projects.
  • Assist in disseminating research findings through publications, presentations, and other channels, ensuring that our Skills Intelligence services are a key focus in all communications.
  • Play an important role in supporting Business Development by contributing research-driven insights, underpinned by our Skills Intelligence services, to define the scope and value for prospective clients and partners.



REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Data Science, Sociology, or a related field; a Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Proven experience in research, data analysis, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on using data-driven methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Skills Intelligence platforms, labour market data, and workforce analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in producing research reports and presenting findings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality research.
  • A passion for understanding labour market dynamics, workforce trends, and the role of Skills Intelligence in shaping future opportunities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.



OTHER REQUIREMENTS


Talent is currently, and may remain, a location independent company offering employees the opportunity to work remotely but with the expectation of potential occasional travel to client and partner locations as required (within North America). Travel expectations no more than 10% annually.
