Eau Claire Distillery is an award-winning producer of farm-to-glass whisky, spirits, and ready-to-drink cocktails for sale in Canada and the USA. As Alberta’s first craft distillery, we are a unique, dynamic, and exciting brand story worth telling.


We are looking for a talented Content and Design Coordinator to create and maintain a strong online presence for our company to drive customer interest and engagement in Eau Claire Distillery. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement content and design strategies, promote our brand, and foster deeper connections with our customers. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of design principles as well as social media trends.


As a Content and Design Coordinator, you will be involved in developing and deploying original content, promoting our brand, and helping us better connect with our audiences. You understand the importance of brand standards and have a strong appreciation for relevant digital platforms, best practices, current trends, and data reporting. In writing content across channels, you will be expected to help develop and maintain our company voice.

Responsibilities:

  • Research audience preferences and perform trend analysis to create relevant content.
  • Write creative copy that engages our audiences and proofread email marketing campaigns, advertisements, social media posts, and website content.
  • Incorporate best practices (including SEO) into online publications and suggest content optimization.
  • Stay current with advances in all social platforms to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Share knowledge and content with co-workers so collectively we can use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way.
  • Create on-brand visual designs that adhere to our established brand standards. Collaborate with graphic designers to ensure all content is visually cohesive and represents our visual identity.
  • Facilitate online interaction with our audiences and respond to their queries.
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans.
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and engagement metrics.
  • Use data-based decisions to develop new ways to build our audiences.
  • Work with influencers, thought leaders, and complementary brands to grow the company’s audiences organically and nurture lasting business and consumer relationships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department, videographers, and graphic designers to create compelling content for publications and campaigns.
  • Coordinate social media with online sales plans and promotions.
  • Act as the point of contact for all marketing collateral needs.
  • Attend and document marquee events on behalf of Eau Claire Distillery.
  • Other marketing responsibilities as required.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Coordinator or in a content-focused role.
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience in photo & video production, editing, and image capture for social media.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media channels (primarily Meta Business Suite) and platforms.
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms and social media best practices.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (optimized for destination channels and audiences).
  • Multitasking and analytical skills.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Expertise in writing interesting and engaging copy for various online and print communications mediums.
  • Great interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.


Education:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational qualifications in English, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Photography, Design, Communications, or a relevant field.


Salary: Based on experience


Experience:

  • Social media or content production management: 2 years (preferred)


Location: Calgary & Diamond Valley – The successful candidates need to be willing to work from the distillery in Diamond Valley 1-2 times per week.
