We are looking for an Organizational Change Manager for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.


Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.


Description

We are seeking an intermediate-level Change Management Practitioner to join our client’s project team to help develop and execute on several change management deliverables supporting their Energy Trading and Risk Management - Refined Products (ETRM RP) project. Working in partnership with the ETRM project OCM Lead, project leadership, and impacted leaders and stakeholders, the Change Management Practitioner will promote adoption of changes, tools, practices, and processes that lead to higher business performance.


Responsibilities

  1. Creatively contribute to communications and engagement activities. Maintain project SharePoint site content, focusing on relevant real-life examples of change impacts, day in the life scenarios as well as updates to FAQs and glossary. Develop content for bi-weekly email updates. Develop content for project presentations, including What’s Changing by function, Day in the Life by role, and other OCM-related presentations.
  2. Assist with change impacts documentation and support implementation activities. Develop and maintain documentation related to change impacts by group and role. Working closely with OCM Business Readiness lead, develop communication, business readiness and implementation plans and assist with execution of activities.
  3. Support people readiness network development plans and activities. Assist with engagement, learning and support activities for the support network to develop the skills necessary to train and support their peers leading up to, at and after go live.
  4. Assist with training development activities and deliverables. Review curriculum to ensure change impacts are addressed; prepare communications to publicize training events; collaborate on scripts for explainer videos; participate in quality assurance review of end-user documentation; and coordinate with the learning function to combine end-user readiness with training evaluation.
  5. Assist with OCM KPI development. Support OCM dashboard. Evaluate the effectiveness of communication and engagement plans and, with other OCM team members, implement changes as appropriate to improve future results.
  6. Work collaboratively with all members of the OCM team. Contribute to OCM and Learning project plans and deliverables, risk logs, and status reports.
  7. Liaise with the project team and other enabling partners including Corporate Communications and Learning.

Required Skills and Experience

  1. Minimum of 5 – 8 years’ change management experience in a large corporate environment supporting complex initiatives or technology transformations.
  2. Accreditation/certification in industry-recognized change methodology or equivalent training and experience.
  3. Exceptional written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of stakeholders.
  4. Strong computer skills and above average knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other MS Office programs.
  5. Experience working in a project environment and familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and lifecycles.
  6. Experience working on ETRM projects would be a strong asset.
  7. Experience with Oil and Gas industry preferred.
