Radiology Technician

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Medical Radiation/X-Ray Technologists to join our amazing team

The successful candidate will provide care according to the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario, the Standards of Practice of Carecor Health Services, and the healthcare facility where assigned. You will be helping to foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients, while providing exemplary patient care. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12hour shift.

Pay rate: $58-$63/hour

Note: Independent contractors are individuals who have their own healthcare services business and agree to provide nursing services on behalf of Carecor. The independent contractor is not an employee of Carecor.

Job Qualification

Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.

· Graduate from an accredited Medical Radiation Technology program

· Current member with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) M.R.T(R) in good standing

· Membership with the CAMRT or OAMRS is preferred

· Minimum 300 hours of experience in radiology within the past 2 years

· Ability to confidently and skillfully produce and assess diagnostic radiographs

· Proficient in caring for and assessing patients with acute and critical conditions

· Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills capable of working independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate compassion, and professionalism in order to deliver quality patient-centered care

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate

· Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B and proof of negative TB skin test within the past one year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years

· Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire

Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
