Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Corporate Controller to join an exciting Montreal-based fast-growing company. As the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, accounting, and reporting. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial information, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing effective financial controls.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial accounting and reporting function, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to optimize financial performance.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process and timely completion of audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive management, to drive process improvements and enhance financial performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and recommend appropriate actions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a CPA designation.
  • 5+ Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bilingual: English (Fluent), French (Fluent).
  • Work location: In person
Notre client est à la recherche d'un contrôleur corporatif expérimenté et hautement qualifié pour rejoindre une entreprise montréalaise en pleine expansion. En tant que contrôleur corporatif, vous serez chargé de superviser tous les aspects de la gestion financière, de la comptabilité et de la production de rapports. Vous jouerez un rôle crucial en assurant l'exactitude et la rapidité de l'information financière, en maintenant la conformité avec les exigences réglementaires et en mettant en œuvre des contrôles financiers efficaces.

Responsabilités :
  • Diriger la fonction de comptabilité et de communication des informations financières, en garantissant l'intégrité et l'exactitude des états financiers.
  • Superviser les processus de clôture de fin de mois et de fin d'année, y compris les écritures comptables, les rapprochements et la préparation des états financiers.
  • Développer et maintenir des politiques et procédures comptables, en garantissant le respect des principes comptables généralement reconnus (PCGR) et des réglementations pertinentes.
  • Surveiller la trésorerie, le fonds de roulement et la liquidité pour optimiser la performance financière.
  • Établir et maintenir des contrôles internes pour protéger les actifs de l'entreprise et atténuer les risques financiers.
  • Coordonner et collaborer avec les auditeurs externes, en veillant à un processus d'audit fluide et à l'achèvement en temps voulu des exigences d'audit.
  • Collaborer avec des équipes pluridisciplinaires, y compris les finances, les opérations et la direction exécutive, pour stimuler les améliorations de processus et améliorer la performance financière.
  • Se tenir au courant des tendances de l'industrie, des changements dans les normes comptables et des exigences réglementaires pour garantir la conformité et recommander des actions appropriées.
Qualifications :
  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité et certification CPA.
  • 5+ années d'expérience avérée en tant que Contrôleur Financier ou dans un rôle similaire.
  • Connaissance approfondie des principes comptables, de la communication des informations financières et des exigences en matière de conformité.
  • Compréhension solide de l'élaboration de budgets, des prévisions et de l'analyse financière.
  • Maîtrise des logiciels financiers et des systèmes ERP ; compétences avancées en Excel.
  • Excellentes capacités d'analyse, de résolution de problèmes et de prise de décision.
  • Compétences efficaces en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, avec la capacité de collaborer et d'influencer les parties prenantes à tous les niveaux.
  • Bilingue : Anglais (Courant), Français (Courant).

Desired Skills and Experience
