Role Overview:

Nelson Integrated invites applications from two (2) experienced Robotic Systems Engineers, and two (2) enthusiastic but less highly experienced PLC Programmers to join our innovative engineering team. This role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced robotic packaging solutions. These roles will include 50% travel to Nelson Integrated's location in Boise, Idaho.

Responsibilities:

  • design and development of robotic packaging systems using Kuka robots, optimizing for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Engage in programming, testing, and debugging of robots, with PLC programming skills considered a strong advantage.
  • Work closely with project managers and clients to define system requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete system integrations, installations, and commissioning at client sites, providing expert training and support.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in robotics and automation, applying innovative solutions to our projects.
  • Document designs, configurations, and maintenance procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in robotic systems engineering, particularly with Kuka robots. Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is advantageous but not essential.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing complex automation systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with clients.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites for installations and support.
