Our client in the Non-Profit industry is currently seeking a Director of Finance to join their team This is an 3 month contract with potential extension on a full-time basis, working onsite, based in Guelph.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to legislative requirements, Board policies, funding criteria, and professional standards.
  • Monitor financial performance and expenditures through variance analysis, forecasting, and budget comparisons.
  • Provide strategic and operational advice to the Senior team and the Board of Directors to achieve financial objectives.
  • Lead facilities services, maintaining a property management plan for regular upkeep, problem identification, and solutions for all owned and/or rented sites.
  • Ensure these systems support reporting requirements, compliance with funder and legislative standards, and facilitate sound decision-making.
  • Stay informed about provincial and local e-health developments.
  • Oversee hiring, work assignments, performance reviews, and coaching of direct reports.
  • Continuously improve assigned areas by monitoring, analyzing trends, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Plan and implement strategies for financial growth and sustainability.
  • Work with the senior team to set, analyze, and interpret key performance indicators and prepare monthly performance dashboards.
  • Oversee and manage the organization's capital and leasing requirements.


Qualifications:

  • University Degree and a Canadian CPA or an internationally recognized accounting body.
