Canada VIDOCQ Full time

Location

Greater Toronto Area – occasional in-person presence required (100% remote work arrangement otherwise)

About the Role

At Vidocq, we believe that integrity is non-negotiable, and that speaking the truth with our clients about a situation or risk, even if sometimes uncomfortable, is a duty. We're seeking a Senior Manager, Investigation and Risk Services to join our Toronto-based operations. This is a pivotal role for someone who brings both operational agility and moral clarity to complex investigative and advisory environments.

You'll work closely with our Montreal-based core team while serving as a trusted point of contact for clients in Ontario. Whether conducting sensitive inquiries, shaping intelligence reports, or aligning client expectations with operational delivery, your ability to adapt, lead, and speak with conviction will be critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead and coordinate investigative operations, intelligence collection efforts, and advisory projects across various industries.
  • Actively participate in the execution of mandates, ensuring high-quality findings and actionable outcomes.
  • Act as a regional representative for Toronto-area clients, aligning deliverables with Vidocq's standards of excellence and discretion.
  • Bridge client expectations with internal capabilities, adapting resources and timelines to evolving priorities.
  • Review, structure, and contribute to written deliverables, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, and contributing to proposal development.
  • Represent Vidocq at select professional events, client meetings, or public engagements in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Uphold the firm's core values, including seeking and communicating truth, integrity, and professional ethics — even in high-pressure or ambiguous contexts.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in investigations, intelligence, financial crime, or strategic advisory.
  • Proven ability to work independently in complex, high-stakes environments.
  • Outstanding English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • The courage to articulate facts and risks clearly, even when they may be unpopular.
  • Deep commitment to ethical decision-making and professional integrity.
  • Ontario Private Investigator license (or willingness to obtain it promptly).
  • Experience in law enforcement, military, national security (e.g., CSIS), or regulatory agencies is a strong asset.
  • Experience in financial institutions or banking compliance is an asset.
  • Professional certifications (CFE, CFCS, CAMS) are considered strong assets.
  • Fluency in another language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, etc.) is also an asset.
  • A university degree is considered an asset

Why Join Vidocq

  • Be part of a mission-driven Canadian leader that puts ethics before ego.
  • Work on mandates that have real-world impact — and require expertise and real courage.
  • Operate autonomously within a collaborative, expert-driven environment.
  • Help shape the future of risk, investigations, and intelligence consulting in Canada.
  • Enjoy full-time remote flexibility with occasional in-person presence in Toronto.
  • The base salary for this role ranges from $115,000 to $135,000 CAD, depending on experience and profile. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.
