Where: Brantwood Community Centre, 25 Bell Lane, Brantford ON

Who: All qualified candidates will be considered for an on-the-spot interview We're seeking professionals who have graduated in any of the following human service related fields of study: CYW, ECE, DSW, PSW, etc. Candidates with experience in long-term care and retirement homes will also be considered.

Candidates must be able to work a variety of shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, nights, and weekends. Scheduled hours will vary depending on the needs of the people supported.

Candidates MUST have relevant experience.

Candidates need to have G1, G2 or full G licence to be considered.

What: We're recruiting for Part-Time Direct Support Professionals

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioural supports based on individualized needs (i.e., mental, physical, spiritual, behavioural, emotional).
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, meal preparation, dressing, routine hygiene, etc.).
  • Administer medications.
  • Assist with the development of care plans and goal development.
  • Complete detailed documentation.
  • Implement and follow behaviour support plans.
  • Support community-based goals for people supported in group living, including daily living activities and social/recreational activities that promote inclusion and belonging in our community.
  • Travel with people supported in Brantwood vehicles and on public transit within the community of Brantford and surrounding areas, with occasional trips out of town.

Successful Applicants will be required to provide:

  • Police Vulnerable Sector Screening Check (no more than 3 months old).
  • Brantwood Pre-Employment Health form.
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination.
  • 3 Year Driver's Record Search.
  • Proof of current Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED certification.
  • Proof of educational qualifications.
