I'm representing a US multinational cloud based marketing platform that are expanding to Canada. With a presence already here, they are looking for a leader to spearhead their Canadian growth though partnerships and demand generation.


This role is ideal for a commercial leader with a proven track record of building successful partnerships and business development initiatives, particularly within the small-to-medium business (SMB) sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnerships Leadership: Lead the strategy and execution of building strong partnerships to expand market reach, with a focus on fostering relationships with key stakeholders in the agency and technology landscape.
  • Growth & Business Development: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, focusing on driving customer acquisition and revenue growth through partnerships with agencies, resellers, and strategic partners.
  • Market Activation: Oversee the launch and expansion of new market initiatives, with a key focus on creating visibility and traction through collaborative partnerships across sectors.
  • Strategic Vision & Execution: Shape and execute long-term partnership strategies, identifying market opportunities and aligning them with business objectives to scale operations effectively.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Be actively involved in both high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution, leading partnership initiatives from ideation through to implementation and performance tracking.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure partnership initiatives are aligned with broader company objectives and deliver measurable results.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven Partnership Success: A track record of driving growth through strategic partnerships in SaaS, technology, or similar environments, with the ability to launch and scale partnerships that generate significant business impact.
  • Agency and Channel Partner Experience: Expertise in managing and leveraging agency and channel partner relationships to activate new markets, build brand awareness, and enhance revenue streams.
  • Strategic and Hands-On Approach: Demonstrated experience in both crafting strategic partnership frameworks and being directly involved in tactical execution and partner management.
  • Leadership and Influence: Strong leadership skills, capable of building and inspiring a high-performing partnerships team, while also acting as the key representative in partner negotiations and business development.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment with a focus on adaptability, innovation, and strong relationship-building capabilities.
