Are you a self-starter who prefers working with your hands over being confined to a desk?

As a Field Technician at Coinstar, you will use a company vehicle to install, service, and maintain Coinstar kiosks within an assigned territory. With input from your manager, you will plan and schedule your days, making adjustments as new priorities and tasks arise. You’ll work in an environment where route, daily tasks, weather, and traffic conditions can (and will) change on a regular basis.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive a company vehicle to maintain Coinstar kiosks within an assigned territory.
  • Plan and schedule route based on service needs, making adjustments to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Electromechanical trouble-shooting, calibration, repair, and maintenance.
  • Test all components of kiosks including connectivity, software, and electromechanical functions to ensure they are working properly.
  • Repair or replace worn-out parts using small tools and diagnostic utility.
  • Perform remote diagnostics to assist Service and Transportation Representatives with repairs remotely and schedule advanced technical issues into own planning.
  • Manage and prioritize field change orders including updating signage, displays, installation of wireless kits, software updates, etc.
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize installation/de-installation activities, CSC service calls, and Loss Prevention dispatches/investigations.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • High School Degree or GED.
  • 1+ year of field experience.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of computer, electronic, or electromechanical devices OR Associate Degree in electronics or similar concentration.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Basic background knowledge in computer hardware, software, and computer-controlled equipment.
  • Ability to work independently in a position of responsibility with limited direct supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and intermediate knowledge of current PC operating systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Background checks & MVR will be required.

Essential requirements:

Field Technician work involves operating a motor vehicle to service kiosks within a specific region or route. Regularly and safely perform all functions of operating a motor vehicle, including prolonged sitting. Regularly positioning oneself to handle or move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. Occasionally move or lift objects up to 85 lbs., and occasionally move coin bins weighing up to 600 lbs. using a specially designed hand truck or pallet jack. Regularly operate a laptop and mobile phone. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person or electronically.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.50-$27.50 per hour
