Networking Product Verification Engineer

Lumentum is looking for a Networking Product Verification Engineer to play a leading role in the verification of the networking aspects of a new generation of leading edge optical communication products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work with multidisciplinary teams to define manual and automated product test strategies.
  2. Document and review test plans with peers and stakeholders.
  3. Work with the team to automate and manually execute test plans.
  4. Record and report test case execution progress and results.
  5. Provide guidance to and share technical expertise with more junior members of the verification team.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Qualifications:
  1. 3+ years of embedded product verification experience.
  2. Solid understanding of testing methodologies.
  3. Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  4. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Assets:
  1. C# development experience for test case automation.
  2. Experience working with LAG/LACP, LLDP, sZTP, BootZ, L3 ECMP.
  3. Experience working with other networking protocols - IP, UDP/TCP, DHCP, Layer 2 Ethernet/MAC, gRPC.
  4. Knowledge of management interfaces such as OpenConfig, SNMP, gNMI.
  5. Knowledge and use of Linux – Linux commands, scripting, syslog.
  6. Understanding of hardware devices such as ADCs/DACs/Clocks/UART.
  7. Ability to use a schematic to understand how electronic devices are connected.
  8. Knowledge of optical telecommunications (DWDM/Optical Amplifiers/ROADMs/MEMs).
