POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and in close collaboration with her, the incumbent assumes a supervisory and management role for our shelter's day, night, weekend, and on-call teams. They oversee these teams by performing various administrative, human resources, and management tasks. Utilizing her knowledge and clinical expertise, the incumbent provides clinical supervision and guidance to the team, assisting them in their daily tasks.


PRIMARY RESPONSABILITIES

Specific responsibilities of the team lead include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and support the clinical team of our shelter.
  • Foster a positive and resilient work culture aligned with our trauma-informed approach.
  • Ensure the flow of information and healthy communication within the team and throughout the organization.
  • Ensure clinical supervision and guidance to the team.
  • Support with the performance & contribution evaluations of the team.
  • Effectively communicate policy and procedure updates, news, and opportunities to night and weekend staff.
  • Ensure a flexible number of hours during the week to meet the needs of the night and weekend team.
  • Report to the clinical supervisor to ensure a continuous flow of information, and suggest solutions, innovative ideas, and relevant training for the team.
  • Participate in the recruitment process and in the onboarding of new hires.
  • Train and educate the team on the best practices and methods of the shelter.
  • Supervise and organize the professional development of the team members and support with organizational changes.
  • Act as a super user of the clinical database (ASO).
  • Act as a stand-in for the day staff, on an ad hoc basis, to ensure daily tasks and psychosocial support to clients.
  • When needed, supervise and mentor interns in the shelter.

Various Activities:

  • As needed, participate in community projects and external committees, represent the center at events and conferences, and engage in research initiatives related to ASPF’s clientele.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and team meetings to foster personal growth and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  • Perform any other tasks required in the scope of her duties.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in social work or counseling
  • Member of a professional order related to the field of practice
  • Minimum of 8 years in crisis intervention, including solid clinical training and experience in the field of intimate partner violence\
  • Minimum of 5 years of team management experience or a similar role
  • Good knowledge of the issue of domestic violence and women's rights
  • Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Work experience and knowledge of strength-based and trauma-informed approaches (asset)

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Position Type: Permanent
  • Salary: Commensurate with experience
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week (5 days/week)

Primarily daytime hours with 1 evening shift (1 pm – 9 pm) per week.

Includes 4-6 flexible hours for supervising night and weekend staff.

OBJET DU POSTE

Sous la direction de la superviseure clinique et en étroite collaboration avec elle, la titulaire de ce poste est responsable de la supervision et de la gestion de l’équipe de jour ainsi que de l’équipe nuit et de fin de semaine de notre maison d'hébergement. Il/Elle supervise l’équipe clinique en effectuant diverses tâches administratives, de ressources humaines et de gestion. Grâce à ses connaissances et à son expertise clinique, la titulaire du poste offre de la supervision clinique et des conseils aux membres de son équipe et les soutient dans leurs tâches quotidiennes.


RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES

Les responsabilités spécifiques de la cheffe d'équipe incluent, mais ne sont pas limitées à, ce qui suit :

  • Gérer et soutenir l’équipe clinique de notre maison d’hébergement.
  • Favoriser une culture de travail positive et résiliente alignée sur notre approche fondée sur les traumas.
  • Assurer la circulation de l'information et une communication saine au sein de l'équipe et dans l'ensemble de l'organisation.
  • Responsable de la supervision clinique et des conseils à l’équipe.
  • Soutenir les évaluations du rendement et de la contribution de l'équipe.
  • Communiquer efficacement les mises à jour des politiques et des procédures, les nouvelles et les opportunités au personnel de nuit et de fin de semaine.
  • Être disponible pendant un nombre flexible d'heures pendant la semaine pour répondre aux besoins de l'équipe de nuit et de fin de semaine.
  • Rendre compte à la superviseure clinique pour assurer un flux continu d'informations, suggérer des solutions, des idées innovantes et des formations pertinentes pour l'équipe.
  • Participer au processus de recrutement, d’accueil et d’intégration des nouvelles embauches.
  • Former et outiller l'équipe sur les meilleures pratiques et méthodes de la maison d’hébergement.
  • Superviser et organiser le développement professionnel des membres de l'équipe et soutenir les changements organisationnels - Agir en tant que super utilisateur de la base de données clinique (ASO).
  • Agir comme soutien à son équipe de jour, de manière ad hoc (lors de congés), pour assurer les tâches quotidiennes et le soutien psychosociale à la clientèle.
  • Si nécessaire, superviser et encadrer des stagiaires au sein du refuge.

Activités diverses

  • Selon les besoins, participer à des projets communautaires et à des comités externes, représenter le centre lors d'événements et de conférences, et s'engager dans des initiatives de recherche liées à la clientèle d'ASPF.
  • Participer aux opportunités de développement professionnel et aux réunions d'équipe pour favoriser l’épanouissement personnel et contribuer à un environnement de travail collaboratif et inclusif.
  • Effectuer toutes autres tâches requises dans le cadre de ses fonctions.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maîtrise en travail social ou en counseling
  • Membre de son ordre professionnel
  • Minimum de 8 ans en intervention de crise, dont une solide formation et expérience clinique dans le domaine de la violence entre partenaires intimes
  • Au moins 5 ans d'expérience en gestion d'équipe ou dans un rôle similaire
  • Bonne connaissance du domaine de pratique de la violence entre partenaires intimes conjugale et des droits des femmes
  • Solides compétences en matière de communication interpersonnelle et de résolution des conflits
  • Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais
  • Maîtrise de MS Office Suite
  • Expérience professionnelle et connaissance des approches fondées sur les forces et informées sur les traumatismes (atout)
  • Connaissance de la communauté juive et de ses coutumes (atout).

CONDITIONS DE TRAVAIL

  • Horaire de travail : 35 heures par semaine (5 jours/semaine)

Principalement pendant les heures de bureau, avec un quart de travail de soir (de 13h à 21h) par semaine.

Inclue 4 à 6 heures flexibles pour superviser le personnel de nuit et de week-end.
