GMBP is seeking Project Professionals who can contribute to the continued growth with GMBP's land development infrastructure and water resources team and are interested in working collaboratively with a talented team of design, management and technical leaders. This position will support GMBP's land development engineering practice in Southwestern Ontario, which provides services in a wide range of settings. Representing projects for the land development and civil site design for residential, industrial, commercial and municipal sites.

Our Guelph and Kitchener offices are looking for a Land Development Engineer to complement our team in the area of land development and stormwater management system design and analysis. You will work across various sector areas and develop deep partnerships with our clients, municipalities, managers, planners, architects and other offices.


Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Conceptual, preliminary and detailed engineering design for various Land Development projects including subdivision and site plan type developments, including:
  • Site Grading
  • Pipe Design
  • Local Road Design
  • ESC Design
Coordinate with and utilize technical resources within the land development group as project demands.Preparation and review of engineering drawings sets, technical memos, reports, construction plans and specifications.Provide leadership on projects, including acting as the project's stamping engineer on a wide variety of projects.Writing reports and design briefs for submission purposes to agencies.Liaising with clients.Review and issuance of construction cost estimates and detailed construction specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 10+ years minimum industry experience.
  2. Bachelor's University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
  3. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is an asset.
  4. Experience with managing residential subdivision and/or ICI developments.
  5. Experienced with standard analysis programs, Microsoft Office programs, Hydraulic and transient modelling software, AutoCAD Civil 3D and other associated programs as desired.
  6. Exhibit strong work ethic and high degree of motivation.
  7. Experience with writing and reviewing technical reports.
  8. Committed to Technical excellence.
