Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan, Canada 3twenty Modular Full time

ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

3twenty Modular is seeking a full-time permanent Architectural Technologist to join our growing team. This opportunity requires in-person work based in Saskatoon, SK.

Who is 3twenty?

3twenty Modular is a design-build general contractor that delivers projects using a modular building process. We focus on providing turnkey building solutions to the commercial, educational, institutional, and industrial markets in Western Canada. Learn more about us here.

Why work with 3twenty?

We are innovators, collaborators, and builders. We live by and represent our business's core values: trust, collaboration, innovation, win-win, fun, and relationships. Hear from some of our team members about what it’s like to work here.

What you’ll do:

The Architectural Technologist supports the successful design of construction drawings for residential and commercial projects. The roles and responsibilities include the following:

· Support the design and detailing of modular buildings, including drafting construction drawings, site plans, architectural schedules and other building aspects as required.

· Create take-off documentation and calculations to support the bidding and purchasing process.

· Guide the team in interpreting and using technical information, including building code reviews, to ensure code compliance in design work.

· Collaborate with clients, designers, and engineering consultants to bring projects to life.

· Utilize building science principles to support the creation of as-built drawings and documentation.

· Other duties as assigned.

Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will collaborate closely with our field leadership, designers, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects. During the construction phases, you will work closely with our team of carpenters and labourers to bring projects to life.

Collaborators: By forming critical relationships with our supply chain and subcontractors, we can collaborate on designs that result in high-quality, cost-efficient builds for our customers.

Customers: You will work closely with our customers during all project phases. We believe the construction process can be a fun, positive, and rewarding experience for our team and customers by applying a collaborative, win-win design-build approach.

What you’ll bring:

· A diploma or certificate in building engineering technology, architectural technology, or similar.

· Advanced knowledge of drafting software, preferably ArchiCAD.

· Working knowledge of the National Building Code and National Energy Code.

· Good understanding of building science and construction methodology.

· Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify tasks.

· Construction background is an asset.

What we offer:

· Competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.

· This opportunity requires in-person work, although we offer a flexible work environment that includes remote work when it makes sense for individuals' schedules and our projects.

· Flexible schedules We ask that staff start consistently between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. and work an 8-hour day.

We value diversity—in background and experience. 3twenty needs people from all backgrounds and walks of life to help bring our projects to life. We are deliberate about the team we build, as we believe our people make all the difference in cultivating a culture of collaboration and innovation.
