We are seeking a Vice President of Marketing to leverage their extensive experience in e-commerce and growth marketing to propel Plantaform’s sales in the Canadian and US markets. This role is pivotal in refining our brand identity and fostering deeper connections with customers who are passionate about our products. As the senior-most marketing leader, you will provide guidance and mentorship to our team members, nurturing their development.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic startup environment, has a knack for devising innovative marketing strategies that capture our audience's attention, and can swiftly implement data-driven changes to enhance growth efficiency.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with Plantaform’s growth objectives.
  • Identify and implement effective marketing channels to scale sales and improve our customer acquisition cost (CAC).
  • Refine and strengthen our brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Develop and execute storytelling strategies for social media and other digital platforms to enhance brand engagement.
  • Conduct market research to identify and develop buyer personas, ensuring our marketing efforts are targeted and effective.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Manage and optimize digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, Google Ads, digital ads, and social media.
  • Analyze and report on marketing performance metrics to ensure effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer support, to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to keep Plantaform ahead of the curve.
What you’ve done before:
  • Experience developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive sales growth.
  • Proven experience in e-commerce and digital marketing strategies, with a track record of efficient ad spend.
  • Develop a strong brand presence, storytelling through social media platforms, and have significantly grown its social media accounts.
  • Worked with marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, AdWords, SEO tools, CRM systems, Shopify, and social media management tools.
  • Worked in a startup environment for at least 3 years, where you’ve taken the lead on its marketing growth efforts.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
