The Financial Planning Analyst is someone who can dive deep into financial analysis, provide valuable strategic insights, and help support decision-making processes. Financial Planning Analyst Details

  • Monday thru Friday – ONSITE – 8am to 5pm
  • $85K-$105K salary, based on qualifications - +Bonus

Financial Planning Analyst Responsibilities

  • Preparing financial statements, management reports, balance sheets, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Conducting variance analysis on actuals versus budget/forecast and providing valuable insights to senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Providing insights on top-line performance, Trade Spend, SG&A expense, and other key metrics.
  • Development of budgets, forecasts, support for annual external audits, and addressing ad-hoc requirements.
  • Preparation of financial reports and other deliverables to meet global deadlines as set by the financial leadership.
  • Making sure to timely prepare and file Canada tax returns, including Income tax, VAT, CFC, BEPS filings (e.g. GloBE Information Return) and other taxes.
  • Providing analytical support for Global Portfolio Managers and Commercial Regional Managers.
  • Maintaining an effective internal control framework and monitoring the financial health of the entities.

Financial Planning Analyst Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Food Manufacturing
  • CPA Designation / Accreditation is required
  • Current or prior audit experience is an asset
  • Current of prior experience in taxation is an asset
  • Strong skills in technical accounting and understanding of IFRS principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience in creating complex financial models.
