ABOUT THE ROLE:
Do you bring a creative, fresh perspective to communications? As Director of Employee Engagement & Internal Communications, reporting to the VP of Human Resources, you’ll design a communications framework that aligns with Sephora’s brand and business goals. Your work will attract top talent, engage employees, and position Sephora as an employer of choice
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Communications
- Develop a cohesive communications framework aligned with Sephora’s brand and business objectives
- Build an engaging communication strategy that fosters Sephora culture
- Provide strategic communications counsel and collaborate with executives and senior leaders. Support in developing and implementing communications strategies, key messages, team events, speeches and presentations
- Curate and publish key internal news
- Partner with the Store Communication function and establish and maintain global partnerships
Employer Branding
- Develop and implement a comprehensive employer branding strategy, lead campaigns, and define and communicate our employer value proposition (EVP)
- Collaborate with HR and Marketing teams to align employer branding initiatives with overall corporate brand strategy, and ensure consistent messaging
- Lead and enhance our online presence, including career sites, social media channels, employer review platforms, and industry awards.
- Research and use data analytics to understand market trends, competitor positioning, and candidate preferences
Events
- Develop and implement event strategies, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless execution
- Lead all aspects of our corporate events (Store Leadership Meetings, Brand Meetings, Townhalls, Regional Meetings, etc.) and leave a lasting impression
- Manage relationships with venues, and suppliers, manage event budgets, and negotiate contracts
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in event management and incorporate innovative ideas into event planning
- Evaluate event success through metrics, feedback, and provide recommendations
Linguistics and Translations
- Lead a remote team of Linguistics and Translations employees
- Develop and implement translation strategies and workflows to optimize efficiency and quality
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of translations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for linguistic consistency
- Stay updated on industry trends and comply with language laws in Quebec
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 10+ years in corporate communications
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Strong project management skills, and excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships, and influencing individuals across all levels of the organization
- Superior writing and communications skills with proven ability to think creatively and use communications as an innovative tool to engage people
- Strong grammar, copyediting, and proofreading skills required
- Strategic thinking in program design and implementation
