- Coordinate new employee onboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and training.
- Manage employee information, including new hire procedures, contracts, benefits, leaves, the employee handbook, and HR related matters.
- Process payroll, deductions, and commissions for all employees, contractors, and consultants.
- Coordinate payroll changes.
- Manage employee product purchases and the staff samples program.
- Manage employee health benefits and other company programs.
- Process WCB (Workers' Compensation Board) and WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) claims and quarterly filings.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by implementing HR policies and best practices.
- Coordinate employee offboarding, including paperwork and various related tasks.
- Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.
- Support performance appraisal processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback.
- Identify opportunities for employee development and growth.
- Process monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare payroll reports for management.
- Perform ad hoc duties as instructed by the manager.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration and Certified Human Resources Professional designation CHRP. Degree is an asset.
- 2-3 years experience in HR roles, with a deep understanding of HR principles, best practices, and employment laws.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in payroll work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite,
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
