We are Systematix and we are seeking a Senior MESSAGING SUPPORT SPECIALIST with strong Exchange and Sharepoint Online (SPO) experience to join our team in support of our clients enterprise collaboration and communication services. This role is focused on maintaining and optimizing Microsoft 365 messaging tools, Exchange Online, and related SharePoint environments, while providing exceptional support to end users and technical teams. This is a long-term contract, 100% Remote

This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep experience in Microsoft messaging platforms, end-user support and documentation within a regulated, enterprise-level IT environment.

LOCATION & WORK HOURS:


• Services to be performed remotely


• Work Hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Saskatchewan Time), with the possibility of occasional after-hours support as required.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – KEY DELIVERABLES

The Messaging Support Specialist will contribute to the enhancement and ongoing support of our clients collaboration and messaging platforms, with a focus on SharePoint Online and related M365 services. Specific deliverables include:

1. Custom Web Parts, Workflows, and Forms

Design and develop custom SharePoint components to enhance site functionality and improve user experience.

2. Site and Application Maintenance

Maintain and update existing SharePoint sites and applications to ensure alignment with evolving business requirements.

3. Technical Support and Troubleshooting

Provide end-to-end support for SharePoint-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to users.

4. User Training and Documentation

Develop user guides and technical documentation; deliver training and onboarding sessions for end users and support team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Messaging System Support:

Provide administration, monitoring, and technical support for Microsoft Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, and related M365 messaging platforms.

SharePoint Site Management:

Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint team sites, communication sites, and workflows to support business units.

Issue Resolution & Troubleshooting:

Resolve messaging-related incidents and service requests, troubleshoot email delivery issues, mailbox access/configuration, permissions, and sync problems.

User Training & Documentation:

Develop technical documentation, how-to guides, and deliver basic training for end users and support staff on messaging tools and processes.

Collaboration Support:

Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure effective use of collaboration tools and proactively recommend improvements.

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate must have hands-on experience in projects and operational support involving Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online, with a focus on development and platform configuration. Required expertise includes:

Proficiency in the SharePoint Platform


• Strong understanding of SharePoint's architecture, features, and development capabilities


• Experience with SharePoint Online site design, customization, permissions, and workflows


• Familiarity with integration points between SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)


• Proven experience working through all phases of SDLC: requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support


• Ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions

Development Experience


• Background in front-end and back-end development within the Microsoft ecosystem


• Experience with PowerShell, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, or related M365 development tools is preferred

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a two-year contract role with the possibility of extension, commencing May 1, 2025. The position is remote aligning to Regina, Saskatchewan, business hours (CST) with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST).
