Please note at a minimum you must be proficient with the Ontario Electrical Code and have a minimum of a 309A license.

Role Description

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction project estimations from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
  • Oversee the estimation of large commercial projects.
  • Develop and execute a project strategy that meets the projects required performance, schedule and profitability targets. Meet or exceed these targets.
  • Lead internal construction project start-up meetings and administrative project set up.
  • Manage the development of procurement plans, labour, and material forecast, logistics plan and site workflow, project risk register and project execution plan.
  • Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring they are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, providing direction and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Facilitate data collection and analysis to inform decision-making and project adjustments.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in project management.

Qualifications

  • 309A or a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Proficient in reading & understanding technical drawings and specifications.
  • Accubid experience is necessary
  • Must be familiar with the Ontario Electrical Code.
  • Experience in doing large projects (full gut renos, new construction and additions)
  • Minimum of three years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong skills in requirements management and gathering, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $105,000
