The Hotel Manager’s purpose is to assure all operations are coordinated to exceed expectations. This position requires an exceptional service personality with a “hands-on” approach. We are looking for an active and involved Manager. The candidate must be willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. You are in charge of staffing and are responsible for covering shifts as necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the financial performance of the hotel through effective control of expenses and through revenue management and sales.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Shift coverage in any and all departments when and where needed and/or assigned.
  • Must be effective in multi-tasking.
  • Maintain strong awareness of product quality and condition of the building by regularly inspecting facilities, food and beverage areas, guest rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness and order.
  • Ensure adherence to company and brand standards.
  • Ensure staff is meeting training brand standards.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and established operating procedures while exceeding guest expectations by providing a safe, secure, and quality experience.
  • Ensure 100% Brand Compliance and top QA ratings.
  • Recruit, select, train, and manage employees to deliver superior guest service and quality products that will lead to maximizing revenue and profitability goals.
  • Requires outstanding operational and owner relations experience.
  • Inventory - tracking/ordering and cost control for all departments.
  • Requires highly developed communication skills (written and oral) to interface with executives at all organizational levels – owners, employees, and guests.
  • Must be hands-on and oversee all departments including front office, housekeeping, breakfast, and maintenance.
  • Lead the sales efforts of the hotel generating revenue opportunities. Conducting sales calls and building relationships with key accounts.
  • Prepare weekly & monthly sales and property management reports.
  • Knowledge and aptitude for use of a variety of computer software applications and property management systems and reservation systems.
  • Detail-oriented.
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years previous Hotel Management Experience is required.

Previous Wyndham or Choice Hotels Experience is an asset.
