QHRtechworx is a recruiting firm headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. We are currently working with our client, who are a global Technology and Engineering automation company. They currently employ over 10k resources globally and are considered one the largest engineering and industrial automation companies.

For our clients operations in the GTA, Ontario, we are currently looking for PLC Programmers. This role shall be on-site, it is a full time role and offers a competitive compensation and benefits. We are looking for 7 to 10 resources for our client.

For this role, we are looking for resources, who have between 5 to 12 years of PLC programming experience.

Essential skills and proficiency:

  • PLC, HMI & SCADA – 90% of PLC programming of total experience must be in Rockwell
  • PLC programming – Must have been a part of a full life cycle, including the initial scoping phase
  • Servo experience – Should have been a part of at least one large project
  • Robotics – Preferably one full life cycle in a large project
  • Database – Must have strong capability in SQL and one additional database. Should have a strong understanding of database scope and requirements for large projects

Software skills: Primary skills

  • Rockwell or Siemens PLC programming experience
  • Siemens TIA Portal
  • Guard Logix Safety Programming or any other relevant control safety experience.
  • Robotics integration experience. Desirable Fanuc robot or any equipment
  • Servo application. Desirable Rockwell Kinetics 570 or any equivalent
  • Any Vision system integration experience
  • Familiarity with any MES systems

Control Hardware skills: Good to have skills

Compensation range for the role: $ 90,000 to $ 120,000 + benefits

This role is for core PLC programmers, we are NOT looking for folks who are just managing maintenance and operating the PLC.
