We are currently seeking a Paralegal to collaborate with and support the General Counsel in navigating legal processes related to franchising, real estate, and other corporate projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support on corporate projects, with a focus on Franchising, Real Estate, and legal compliance initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and conduct preliminary negotiations for legal agreements, including leases, franchise agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Oversee the renewal process for franchises and leases by creating and maintaining detailed trackers, coordinating regular follow-up meetings, and liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
  • Partner with stakeholders to input, maintain, and optimize records within an electronic Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
  • Act as a communication liaison for Franchisees and departments, ensuring clarity on timelines, documentation requirements, and disclosure processes.
  • Work closely with external legal counsel and interdepartmental teams to facilitate the drafting and finalization of acquisition-related legal documents.
  • Research and identify risks within legal documentation, providing solutions to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory frameworks.


Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a Paralegal capacity, preferably within a corporate legal setting specializing in franchising, real estate, or corporate law.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Electronic File/Contract Management systems, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technology platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining organization and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Adept at reviewing legal documentation with accuracy and an ability to anticipate issues or potential obstacles.
  • A proactive thinker with a knack for finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Experience with commercial leasing agreements, franchise renewal processes, and corporate compliance documentation is a strong asset.
