The Bragg Group of Companies is a diverse corporate group with its head office in Oxford, Nova Scotia, operating in Canada, the United States and select international jurisdictions. With over 6,000 employees, our operations span the telecommunications and entertainment, food manufacturing and agriculture, aviation services, real estate and renewable power production industries. We are seeking a tax professional to join our head office tax team, responsible for managing the corporate tax function for the entire group of companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the income tax aspects of our group, including Canadian tax compliance, research and audit coordination.
  • Work directly with our accounting teams by preparing annual tax provisions, along with cash tax projections.
  • Collaborate with our operational teams in transaction reviews and contribute to other planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A CPA designation, along with 1 year of accounting experience.
  • An interest, and willingness to learn corporate tax.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility and a hands-on approach
  • Advanced computer literacy and skills
  • Energy and keen interest in learning about our business
  • Excellent teamwork and work ethic, along with a problem-solving mindset
  • Proactive responsiveness to emerging business needs using collaborative approaches
