Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Over three years of working experience as an intermediate accountant, financial analyst, or similar roles.
  • Manage fixed assets including acquisition, recognition, depreciation, and disposal.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and all Balance Sheet accounts monthly.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including General Account (G/L) account reviews, foreign currency conversion, variance analysis, month-end schedules and allocations, and preparation of journal entries.
  • Conduct cost analysis and findings to help management make sound decisions.
  • Work with and back up AP and AR teams to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Work with Procurement to maintain accurate inventory value.
  • Assist with sales tax, payroll tax, EHT, and WSIB filings and ensure compliance in all jurisdictions.
  • Support other Finance team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting or 4th level or higher CPA students.
  • Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Quick learner with sharp mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on skills with MS Office suites and multi-currency Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as MS Dynamics, Oracle Financials, and QuickBooks.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with the ability to use PivotTable, Data Analysis, and Formula tools to facilitate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
