Job Title: Intermediate / Senior Project Architect

Batay-Csorba Architects Inc. is a Toronto-based architecture and interior design studio with a portfolio of contemporary residential and commercial projects. Our team is committed to creating extraordinary spaces that exceed client expectations.

We are a small, creative, and collaborative studio that values personal accountability, initiative, and leadership. Our team members are exposed to all project phases and must wear multiple hats, from designer to project architect and job captain.

Job Summary

We are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated, and experienced detail-oriented Intermediate - Senior Project Architect with a minimum of 8-12 years post-graduate work experience in the architectural discipline. The successful candidate will act as the technical quality control leader in the office, working between the BCA Partners and project teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects of various scales, driving projects from concept to build.
  • Assemble construction drawing sets with minimal supervision from schematic design through to construction administration.
  • Prepare client presentation materials, resolving complex design issues and technical details in 2D and 3D.
  • Develop and maintain a work plan for the team, monitoring project development against the schedule.
  • Manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of full-time relevant professional work experience.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, responsible, assertive, and ambitious with ability to self-direct and work independently.
  • Exceptional design skill, and proven experience in producing and coordinating construction documents.
  • Advanced experience with Revit (mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of building codes, zoning by-laws, standards, and leading construction methods.
  • Ability to complete a full set of construction documents, understanding of building construction, building systems, construction detailing, and creating product specifications.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to delegate to and supervise the work of other staff.
