Summary
The programmatic activation team utilizes analytical and quantitative methods to ensure successful campaign performance. As an Associate Director, Programmatic, your role is to provide exceptional programmatic leadership for key client initiatives. You will leverage your expertise in digital media activation and collaborate with the larger programmatic team to deliver outstanding results. It is essential for you to promote seamless integration of programmatic across all agency groups and effectively communicate with and guide the programmatic media specialist team.
Responsibilities
- Support in the utilization of Omni, in order to effectively leverage our people-based marketing platform to drive targeted audience activation, develop creative channel planning ideas, analyze digital content inventory, and contribute to the overall success of our marketing efforts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and agency partners through effective strategy development, project management, report delivery, and communication.
- Foster productive internal team relationships to ensure timely and efficient client service.
- Gain a deep understanding of clients' campaign and digital marketing needs and effectively convey those needs to internal teams and external partners.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver client outcomes through top-notch performance plans and optimization strategies.
- Create and present presentations and proposals that effectively communicate ideas to clients, internal teams, and strategic partners. Document and communicate client and campaign milestones, deliverables, and decision points.
- Possess a thorough understanding of all integrated programmatic partners and their technology capabilities, enabling effective media mix planning for campaigns.
- Develop planning objectives and strategies aligned with the client's marketing direction, while prioritizing a consumer-centric view to enhance performance and gain insights.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Science and Campaign Analytics team to analyze current campaign performance and data, identifying opportunities for improved results.
- Contribute to organizational leadership initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and execution by role modeling organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Lead and manage a team of programmatic media specialists, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, career guidance, and identifying areas for skill development among junior team members.
Education
- Relevant post-secondary education, training, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operational research, Finance and Sciences degrees preferred. Master’s degree a plus

Experiences
- 6+ years of programmatic experience
- 5+ years in a management role
- Understanding of client/agency operations and finance processes.
- Knowledge of ad-serving platforms such as CM
- Experience working on Retail, Ecommerce or Technology Client
