WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an Intermediate Social Media Videographer with a fantastic creative instinct and passion for content creation. This is a hybrid position, based out of our head office in Toronto.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Responsible for owning the conceptualizing, shooting, and editing of elevated video content for social media across all channels at intermediate level (Instagram, YouTube (long-form + short-form), TikTok)
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics, effects, insert closed captioning, graphics, or other post-production elements into a video
  • Prepare and present storyboards to the Social Media Manager, Head of Brand Engagement + Head of Video Production
  • Be an innovative thinker and lead the experimentation + exploration of creative direction to optimize our social channels
  • Support the Associate Manager with graphic design content creation
  • Lead and support the social team with professional content creation for all brands (lighting + video quality, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on campaign-related and evergreen projects, producing a set amount of content on a regular basis
  • Help to develop and maintain our social media content calendar
  • Stay up to date with DECIEM’s product knowledge, company information, launches and campaigns
  • Strong level of understanding current trends in the content creation + beauty industry to pitch ideas to increase engagement
  • Assist in managing community management accounts within (but not limited to) Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • 2+ years of experience in video editing is required
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro; Photoshop, After Effects. Blender knowledge is a bonus
  • Proficient in any editing, motion, graphic design software to create organic social media content (Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro, DaVinci, VN, Capcut, Canva etc).
  • Proficiency with all video equipment, including but not limited to DSLRs, professional film cameras (RED), lighting, microphones and audio equipment. Experience with creating content on mobile is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of audio, colour, cinematography, video framing approach and theory
