Our client in the technology innovation industry is seeking a Senior Network Analyst for a 7-month contract employment opportunity, with a possibility of extension. The Senior Network Analyst will be responsible for the implementation and management of advanced network solutions using HPE Aruba and ClearPass technologies. The Senior Network Analyst will act as the primary resource on various network architecture projects, ensuring robust security, connectivity and resiliency. The successful candidate will possess senior level working experience with network architecture, design and analysis. This role will support the client’s technology strategy in enhancing network efficiency and reliability while setting a foundation for cloud services and applications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Network Infrastructure Deployment: Deploy, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  2. Security Implementation: Implement security measures to safeguard network systems against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
  3. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize network performance, throughput, and reliability, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and network congestion issues.
  4. Vendor and 3rd Party Coordination: Actively engage in hands-on network tasks while coordinating with vendors and third-party service providers. Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance and facilitating the integration of new technologies. While handling critical network analysis and troubleshooting, collaborate with vendors to share responsibilities and ensure seamless service delivery. Will also involve regular performance evaluations of vendors, conducting reviews, and recommending improvements to enhance overall network efficiency and reliability.
  5. Capacity Management: Assess network capacity requirements and plan for scalability by adding or upgrading network components as needed to accommodate growth and changing business demands.
  6. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and troubleshoot network problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  7. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of network failures or disasters.
  8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topologies, and procedures, and prepare regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance.
  9. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure admins, developers, and security professionals, to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other IT systems and applications.
  10. Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and guidance to IT staff and end users on network technologies, best practices, and security awareness to promote effective utilization and secure operation of network resources.

Requirements:

  1. Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment as a Senior Network Administrator or Network Engineer role with architecture, deployment, and Level-3 troubleshooting experience.
  2. Preferable to have 7+ years proven working experience in a network engineering role with in-depth knowledge of designing and architecting networks.
  3. Must have demonstrated experience with HPE Aruba CX 6300s/8300s series.
  4. Must have demonstrated experience with Aruba Central Management.
  5. Must have demonstrated experience with Wireless deployment and configuration.
  6. Preferable to have Aruba AP experience.
  7. Must have one or more relevant certifications demonstrating expertise and proficiency in network technologies. Examples include:

  4. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Proficient working experience with HPE Aruba Networking ClearPass deployment, integration, TACACS, Onboard, and OnGuard policy features or comparable solutions.Proficient working experience with Fortinet FortiGate NGFW products within an Enterprise environment.Preferable to have senior level hands-on knowledge of Fortinet products, including advanced functionality.Proficient working experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures.Proficient working experience with a variety of network technologies, protocols, and topologies.Proficient working experience troubleshooting network issues and optimizing network performance.Proficient working experience Implementing network security measures and best practices.Proficient working experience with a range of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS).Proficient working experience with Network security technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).Proficient working experience with network virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN).Proficient working experience with cloud networking and integration with public cloud platforms.Preferable to have Azure ExpressRoute experience.Proficient working experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark).Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to changing business requirements and technologies.Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
