Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Control Tester to join our Ops Risk Testing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operational risk testing and regulatory compliance within the Financial Services industry. This role involves designing and executing effective control testing methodologies, with a focus on first-line business control testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first-line control testing for business control testing.
  • Adhere to new methodologies for operational risk testing.
  • Design and implement effective control testing strategies.
  • Monitor and provide oversight for control testing processes.
  • Collaborate with the Ops Risk Testing team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and apply the three lines of defense model, particularly the role of the first line.
  • Report findings and provide recommendations for control improvements.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong experience in operational risk testing or regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with the three lines of defense model and first-line control testing.
  • Audit experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to design and execute effective control testing methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of business control testing in the first line.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience Level:

  • Experience in operational risk testing or regulatory compliance within the Financial Services industry is essential.
  • Business control testing experience in the first line is highly desirable.
