Title: SAS Developer Remote-Canada 12 Months
The SAS Teradata development team is in need of additional support for a special project. The SAS Teradata environment requires enhancements on existing jobs and stored procedures, along with new development for campaign and customer management reports. SAS processes prepare data for campaigns. Work will follow a structured development lifecycle, including preparing test data, creating test cases, and validating results. Additionally, the role involves working in an Agile environment utilizing JIRA Kanban boards.
Day to Day Job Duties:
- Support and develop enhancements on existing jobs and stored procedures in a SAS Base Teradata development environment.
- Prepare data for campaigns through SAS processes.
- Work within a structured development lifecycle, including preparing test data, creating test cases, and validating results.
- Collaborate within an Agile environment utilizing JIRA Kanban boards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 Years Experience
- High SQL Skills (experience with Temporal Tables)
- Teradata database knowledge and experience as a SAS developer
- Understanding of ETL processing and logic using standard and versioned tables
- Knowledge of ETL data change strategies for type 1, type 2, and versioning with data synchronization
- Batch Processing of ETL
- Highly skilled in SAS functionality such as pass thru SQL, Proc, Data Steps, SAS Macros
- Base SAS code experience
- SAS Enterprise Guide Experience
- BitBucket Experience
- Jenkins Experience
- Build and Deploy Process Experience
- Job Scheduling Tool Knowledge and Experience
Nice to Have (But Not a Must):
- Performance Tuning for Queries
- Familiarity with Postman or similar tools for making calls to RESTful APIs
- SQLServer Database knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of IWS Job Scheduling or comparable job scheduling tool experience
Exclusions:
- Participation in an off-hours On-Call rotation
- Experience or skill in SAS DI
