Reports to: Operations Manager
Shift: 5x2
Location: Labrador City
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation.
- Be available for shovel build to commissioning stage, and follow-up repair and service
- Provide technical support all of our product lines on customers’ sites
- Research and troubleshoot technical issues
- Apply mechanical and electrical knowledge to equipment and issues
- Interface current field issues with our product support group to assist, rectify and improve repetitive or critical issues
- Other duties, as assigned
- Electrical Journeyman certification, dual ticket preferred
- Technician qualification will be an advantage
- Able to participate in machine building and commissioning phases of new equipment
- Understand the operation and function of mining shovels, capable of accurately diagnosing problems and working with PLC’s and digital drives.
- Possess proven experience troubleshooting mining machines while working in an outdoor environment plus demonstrated electrical proficiency on high voltage electrical equipment
- Experience in testing the repaired equipment for proper performance
- Superior customer service skills and communication skills are required
- Solid track record in dealing with customers in a technical role
- Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems at customer sites
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Willingness to work overtime when required
