Company Overview

Abba Medix Corp (Abba) is a licensed producer located in Pickering, Ontario. Abba focuses on the distribution of a wide variety of premium medical cannabis products for medical customers seeking safe solutions for their routine or complex health and wellness needs.

We are looking for a hands-on cultivation technician to work in our facility, ensuring optimal plant growth and adherence to company standards. Please note that this is an on-call position, ideal for someone with a flexible schedule, and who wants to get their feet into the cannabis industry. There is also the possibility of this role turning into a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivation (working with plants)
  • Post-production (harvest/bucking/bulk packaging)
  • Destruction
  • Sanitation: Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned areas and equipment
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as part of the needs of the company.

Qualifications needed:

  • Experience/interested in working with cannabis plants
  • Team player/hustle energy
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, as well as bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Autonomous, responsible, reliable and honest
  • +1-2 years experience in cultivation or relevant experience (gardening, landscaping, etc) is an ASSET
  • Excellent communication

This position involves significant exposure to cannabis/plants; for this reason, it may not be suitable for a candidate suffering from allergies to cannabis/plant pollens or having medical problems such as asthma, hay fever, etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call

Work Location: In person
