CR Metal Fabricators is a modern, unionized manufacturer of sheetmetal and structural metal products, located in Campbell River BC. Our regular projects range from: stainless steel commercial components, heavy structural steel fabrication, aluminum truck accessories, to fully finished kiosk enclosures.


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects from initiation to completion. You will work closely with our team to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimation, client liaising, and fabrication project coordination.


Duties:

- Coordinate and collaborate with clients to identify project requirements and objectives

- Develop and execute project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines

- Prepare material takeoffs, estimate labour, and coordinate subcontract requirements

- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to established timelines and milestones

- Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders

- Track and report project status

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices


Skills:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Understanding metal fabrication processes and estimating project costs

- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

- Reading and understanding blueprints, technical drawings, and material take-offs

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions


Knowledge & experience of the following would be a strong asset:

- Drafting/Drawing in CAD (AutoCAD or SolidWorks) and programming CAM for Plasma and WaterJet cutting

- Welding, manufacturing, and fabrication

- Quality control or business management
