Who You Are?

You will join Park’N Fly’s small IT team in this new role as RESTful Web Service Developer working on various existing web services for Park’N Fly’s website, mobile app and other in-house custom Park’N Fly applications. You will play an integral part in transforming Park’N Fly’s legacy desktop applications to web based applications working closely with our SQL developer and manager of development.

You will contribute to continuous improvements to our customer and employee facing applications by implementing best practices on new and legacy web services.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement RESTful services
  • Be involved in the development life cycle delivering services bridging our backend data to front end applications
  • Implement, integrate, and document a variety of services
  • Recommend and make improvements to existing services and infrastructure
  • Apply the latest software design techniques and contribute to the technical design of innovative solutions
  • Troubleshoot to resolve problems and build health and monitoring tools for code/database
  • Write clean, maintainable, well documented code
  • Deliver quality results on time with minimal supervision


What Are We Looking For?

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experiences.


Job Requirements:

· BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field

· 3-5 years developing RESTful web services in a production environment – ideally 24x7

· Expertise in C#, .net core, Visual Studio, IIS, Swagger

· Exposure to SQL – ability to perform CRUD operations

· Exceptional organizational and communication skills

· Experience with JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence or similar products

· Testing tools such as Postman


Soft Skills:

· Must possess sound problem-solving abilities

· Target-oriented and result-focused

· Ability to self-manage

· Ability to work within the IT team, other departments and with outside vendors

· Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully and assertively
