Responsibilities:

Reporting to the BIM Manager and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will:

  • Redesign engineered drawings to simplify fabrication and Installation.
  • Load drawings and configure Trimble Total Station survey layout tool.
  • Provide prints of drawing packages for job sites as required.
  • Interpret construction plans, specifications, and other project requirements.
  • Coordinate all interferences between Mechanical Piping, HVAC, Sprinkler, Electrical, Architectural, Structural, and other services.
  • Complete as-built drawings.
  • Prepare pipe spooling documents for prefabrication and sheet metal fabrication coded drawings.
  • Complete requests for information (RFI’s) and maintain necessary documentation.

Who are we looking for?

Education and Experience:

  • Technical engineering degree or drafting technician diploma preferred, any combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and a strong understanding of architectural and engineering drafting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) collection with the ability to create/modify 2D and 3D models in this software.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.
  • Experience with BlueBeam software is considered an asset.

Job Details:

  • Permanent, full-time
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
