Job Description: What will you do?
  • Ensure the correct deployment of the overall purchasing strategy for cost reduction initiatives in the cluster.
  • Propose cost reduction projects/ideas (Value Engineering, Supplier Change, Negotiation) within its scope in line with the Purchasing Strategy objectives.
  • Contribute to maintaining the purchasing database by regularly and consistently updating the corresponding data.
  • Support the goods management strategy for supplier consultation and selection, including negotiation and management of contracts with local/specific suppliers (price, lead time, payment terms, stock level, etc.).
  • Support and/or lead all activities related to the procurement qualification system in the plant, in accordance with the defined responsibility matrix.

  • University or college degree in commerce, supply chain, engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement and project management.
  • Experience with SAP is an asset.
  • Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes is an asset. Knowledge of supply chain (supplier management, cost analysis, market analysis, inventory management, etc.).
  • Some expertise/knowledge of the category - Sheet Metal Fabrication, Plastics, Insulation, Fasteners, Cables/Wires, Ferrous/Non-ferrous materials.
  • Financial aspects.
  • Oral and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.
  • Project management. Ability to communicate, organize, and work within a cross-functional team.
  • Problem analysis and synthesis skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Intercultural skills, teamwork, results orientation.
  • Database management skills are an asset.
  • Bilingual (knowledge of French and intermediate level of English for collaboration with our clients and teams at the provincial and/or international level)
