Alteri Insurance is seeking a Level 2 Insurance Advisory professional to join our dynamic team in based out of our Yaletown location. As an Insurance Broker and Client Support, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized and comprehensive insurance solutions to our valued clients, ensuring their peace of mind and financial protection.


Key Accountabilities:


KA1 Accountable for managing and maintaining a portfolio of complex commercial

insurance policies.


KA2 Manages high-value personal lines policies, ensuring clients receive tailored

insurance solutions.


KA3 Responds to client requests and inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.


KA4 Analyzes, counsels, and recommends coverage to clients with the highest level of

integrity.


KA5 Ensures adherence to internal and external underwriting rules, regulations, and

procedures.


KA6 Provides cross-sell and upsell recommendations to existing clientele.


KA7 Collects expiry dates on other lines of business from existing clientele.


KA8 In-depth understanding of various insurance providers’ underwriting rules, product

features, and benefits.


KA9 Knowledgeable and proficient in using Epic and various insurer company portals.


KA10 Responds to insurance company underwriters in a timely manner.


KA11 Actively supports the team by answering coverage-related questions and providing

guidance on different types of insurance.


KA12 Actively participates in training initiatives.


Qualifications and Competencies:


  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent on the job experience

3+ years’ experience in the insurance industry, with complex commercial insurance policies and high-value personal lines

  • Must have your General Insurance License Level 2 (or higher) in British Columbia.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset, working effectively within a team to achieve shared goals while fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
  • High level of integrity and excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands independently.
  • Proficiency with computer applications including EPIC (Broker Management System).
