About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Broking and Placement Specialist to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our Specialty Commercial division, you will work closely with our team to build and maintain strong relationships with insurers and other industry service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the marketing process in collaboration with our team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Engage with insurers to determine their requirements for renewal and communicate this information to our team promptly.
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive Underwriting Submissions to ensure seamless policy issuance.
  • Review policy wordings and documentation for accuracy and completeness, and issue manuscript policies as needed.
  • Work with insurers to provide comprehensive coverage solutions that meet our clients' evolving needs.
  • Stay up-to-date on new product offerings from insurers to provide innovative solutions to our clients.
  • Collaborate with our team to process Cover Notes, Renewals, and Endorsements efficiently.
  • Respond to insurers on account receivables and liaise with our team to ensure timely payments.
  • Develop and deliver Insurer and Client Presentations to showcase our expertise and services.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain necessary underwriting information and risk details.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience or relevant education.
  • Level 2 license (insurance designation, CIP or CAIB preferred) or working towards the designation and licensed in other provinces across Canada.
  • Maintenance of licensing requirements and continuing education.
  • Preference for candidates with a large complex property technical background.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
